Developing a website forces print designers to remember everything they’ve learned about print design, and then promptly forget it all — many of the rules that govern print don’t apply to electronic media. Understanding good design is a constant, and applies to both print and web — these design principles inter-relate to the concepts of UI (user interface), navigation and the technical side of site design. While website design may differ in the development process, the end result must adhere to the premise that it is reinforcing its brand, it is successful visually and it is logical in its approach.
